Skyscrapers finds new home for shared customers
Combell is taking over our shared-hosting-customers and related services like domain registration and email. This is a major step for us, paving the road for further development of our strategy around Public Cloud services under the name of Skyscrapers.
Shared hosting has been a cornerstone in the evolution of our company, with the ‘oldest’ contract dating back to January 2001. The last 3 years our strategy and vision have evolved completely into services around public cloud. Last year, our shared customers still generated about 13% of our revenue.
Focus is key in making your dreams a reality. After quite some thought, we decided to find a new home for our shared business so we could focus better on our core business. After some searching, Combell emerged as the right fit for our customers.
In true Skyscrapers style we believe it is a win-win situation for everybody:
- Our shared customers keep on receiving the level of service they’re used to and get access to a modern and continuously evolving shared-hosting platform.
- Skyscrapers will be able to focus more on its core business: helping customers build and manage hosting platforms in the cloud on platforms like Amazon Web Services and others.
In the coming days, affected customers will receive a personal email with more details.
If you have any questions about this or want to discuss cloud strategy for your (web-)applications, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
